Transitions Workshop
Holding a posture is one thing, getting in and out of it is quite another. It's how you get in and out of the postures that makes yoga such a unique practice. Staying focused when you're staying still? Good. Staying focused while you're moving? Great! We'll work with the most basic transitions that you've done a million times first (stepping forward, going to up-dog, etc) and work our way to some more advanced ones.
If you feel like a human being and are easily distracted during a practice, this new focus will be a really big help. You'll also feel yourself gaining a lot more balance and strength over time when you take what you've learned in this workshop to your own practice.
Saturday, January 23rd | 1-3pm
In & Out of Inversions, Arm Balances & Backbends
These advanced positions aren't always the big deal...it's getting into and out of them where the real learning happens. This practice will stop making these postures feel like unattainable tricks. We'll understand why, whether you get into the final posture or not, the journey in and out is so much more important. "It's in the trying."
Sunday, January 24th | 1-3pm
Master Class
Intermediate-level vinyasa class with a focus on core stability and strength. Renee will refer to the concepts taught in the weekend’s workshops but you won't be lost if this is the only class you can make it to!
