Friday, November 14 | 5:45-7:15pm
Master Class

An intense flow that will include arm balancing, inversions and back-bending with heavy focus on alignment that will make it clear why we do things the way we do. Get ready for good core work from your practice as well as from giggling.

Register for Friday.

Saturday, November 15 | 1-3pm
Inversions and Arm Balances
Believe it or not we'll start with plank and chaturanga and literally work our way UP from there. We want these postures not to feel like tricks but to truly understand why they have always been in the ashtanga yoga practice and why they're absolutely worth learning rather than avoiding. Once these postures make logical sense, even the ones that we can't do (yet!) can motivate us to stay consistent with our practice overall. (Secretly they are FUN and that is a great thing.)

Register for Saturday.

Sunday, November 16 | 1-3pm
Transitions: Getting from posture to posture
Holding a posture is one thing, getting in and out of it is quite another. It's how you get in and out of the postures that makes yoga such a unique practice. Staying focused when you're staying still? Good. Staying focused while you're moving? Great! We'll work with the most basic transitions that you've done a million times first (stepping forward, going to up-dog, etc) and work our way to some more advanced ones.

If you feel like a human being and are easily distracted during a practice, this new focus will be a really big help. You'll also feel yourself gaining a lot more balance and strength over time when you take what you've learned in this workshop to your own practice.
